Grimsdell - Mill Hill and Belmont's Pre-Preparatory School - is where our pupils begin their school lives and we take pride in playing our part in making those first experiences happy ones.

The school was opened in September 1995 in Winterstoke House, a former boarding house for Mill Hill School. 86 pupils ranging from Reception to Year 2 were welcomed to Grimsdell. The Nursery class was started in January 1996 with 16 pupils. Grimsdell now houses 186 part time and full time girls and boys aged between 3 and 7.

Being part of the Mill Hill School Foundation, our Pre-Preparatory School boasts on-site facilities rarely found elsewhere; sports pitches, a heated indoor swimming pool, theatre and open parkland are close at hand.

Situated in its own grounds, adjacent to Mill Hill School's 120 acres of beautiful, landscaped parkland, the Pre-Preparatory School was established to nurture the children's development in a supportive and caring environment. This is their first step on the path of social and educational development.
