Out of School

In addition to the academic curriculum, we offer our pupils the widest possible range of experiences and opportunities through our After School Clubs and Stay & Play facility. Our After School Clubs are offered to Year 1 and Year 2 children. There is something for everyone, ranging from different sporting activities to learning new languages and we place a high importance on the pupil's involvement in these activities.

Our Stay & Play facility allows children to stay at school until 5.30pm for those parents who find it difficult to pick up at the end of the school day. It involves the children participating in a host of activities including baking, drawing, board games, playground games. Many of our ‘Stay & Players’ often ask to attend because they enjoy it so much.

We have a successful Grimsdell Parents Association (GPA) that also help provide different activities for the children to further enrich the curriculum. Music and Drama workshops and theatre groups are but some of activities the children have benefitted from recently.

Did you know?

The Grimsdell bear 'Toffee' was introduced in 2005 to celebrate the school's anniversary and has been reintroduced this year so that the current pupils can enjoy him too. The bears travel a long way to get to us because the company who makes them is based in the Channel Islands.
