Art, Craft and Design Technology are areas of the curriculum that our children all enjoy. When you visit Grimsdell you will see wonderful displays of the children's work. Here is a sample of what they can do (click on a picture to see a larger version):
Welcome to Grimsdell
Hello, my name is Minar and I want to tell you about my marvellous school! First I will tell you about our subjects. My favourite is Maths. In Maths you get to learn so much. My favourite is symmetry. We also do amazing science experiments which includes soil, boats and paper aeroplane tests! We also do History and geography, ICT and PE and loads more.
Now then we have the best playground ever with an astro-turf football pitch, balancing logs, wooden boat and house, double-decker pirate ship and Art with Mrs Thomas. We can play football on all the days except for Thursday. In art in class we made 3D ice cream vans and 2D things like fish and flowers for displays, They look great!
Oh and the school council, we can’t do anything without them. On Eco competitions they are judges. Next there is sports day. That's an amazing event – penalties, racing, picnics and lots of stalls like raffles and lucky dip. If you do something exceptionally good you would get a smiley face which is a sticker and you get your name called out in Assembly!
In year 2 you have a star chart so every time you do something good then you get a star. Our outings in year 2 are Brilliant! You get to go to the Barbican, The Museum of London and Moat Mount open centre. It’s great!
The cooks work like mad to create delicious lunches. Really they deserve a lot of credit which is appreciation! The different clubs after school are good, running until 4 o’ clock. If you need to stay after work you can use the late room. For year 2 there is a swimming competition called ‘Swimming Gala’. In our science garden and nursery playground we grow tomatoes, carrots, rosemary, mint, wild flowers, apples and strawberries! Oh and how could I forget, we also grow new potatoes.
Next we have a great library with geography books and history books. Also we have a certain system called ‘the Grimsdell Way’ which are rules that you need to follow. Here are a few of the best, ‘to be honest’, ‘to do our best to be our best’ and ‘to be kind and helpful’.
Our cooking class is fantastic! We had a bakery where we obviously making bread and we made guacamole and salsa and finally we made a delicious vegetable soup!
Outside the head, Mrs Bennett-Mills office we have fish, loads of them. On the 23rd of June 2011 we won the green flag award. The teachers here are so kind and helpful. We also have brilliant toys for golden time. Please send your child to Grimsdell. I am sure he or she will have fun. Any age between 3 and 7.

Welcome to Grimsdell
Hello my name is Keira. I would love to tell you about Grimsdell. There are two classes in Nursery. There is Nursery afternoon and Nursery Morning. In Reception there are three classes as well - 1M, 1G, 1S and 2W, 2F and 2H. The teachers are kind and helpful. They help you when you are stuck. The subjects we do are English, Maths, Geography, History, science, ICT, PSHE, PE, Art, Music, French and Thinking Skills. My favourite subjects are Art, Cooking and Music. ICT, French PSHE, PE and Music have different teachers. My teacher is Mrs Weeks. We start swimming in Year 1 in the Summer Term. In Year 2 we have a Swimming Gala. We do lots of races.
There are different clubs after school. You start clubs in Year 1. My club is Friendship Bands. There is also Hamma beads and Rounders. We also have a marvellous playground with a football pitch, apparatus and at lunch time you can make stuff. The displays make Grimsdell really colourful. We go on trips. My first trip was Paradise Worldlife Park in Reception. There are two or three trips in Year 1 and Year 2. We have Smiley Faces and Stars when we are good.
There is Surgery when your parents can come in and look at your work. We have the Grimsdell Way. The most important bit in the Grimsdell Way is to do your best to be your best. We also have Parents Day where we have Sports in the morning and a fair in the afternoon with a raffle and you can look at all the work they did in the year. We have a library where you borrow books every two weeks and you have to write a comment in the red book.

Welcome to Grimsdell
Hello, I would like to tell you about my fabulous school! Our subjects are English, Maths, Geography, History, Science, ICT, PSHE, PE, Music, French, Thinking Skills, Swimming and Art.
At Grimsdell we have after school clubs led by the teachers. My club is Rambling round Mill Hill on a Tuesday. Here teachers are kind and helpful and if you are stuck on your work you just need to put your hand up and the teacher will come to you but you have to be patient if she or he is working with another child. In year 2 we have a swimming gala. Our Swimming Gala was last Tuesday.
In the Nursery playground there is a Science garden and Mrs Myburgh grows strawberries, apples and vegetables and there is a pond and a mini beast hotel too. At this school we also do some cooking and once we made Mexican food and I tasted my first tomato.
In our class 2W every Monday we choose a book from the library and when you have read it you have to write what you liked and learned. Every month there is a new art display in each classroom. Every once a term each classroom votes for a boy and a girl School Councillor. This year our class our School Councillors are Simran and Oscar.
If you send your child here I'm sure they are going to love it.

Grimsdell School
at Grimsdell there are four year groups, nursery, reception, year 1, year 2. I am in year 2, my favourite subject is Maths. I know you parents want your child/children to be well educated... so this school is perfect!!!
Grimsdell is a wonderful place the teachers are very, very, very nice and my favourite teacher is Mrs Elder she was very nice. As we got older we do more difficult things. We do lots of subjects like history, art, science and maths. When you are in year 1 and over you do swimming with the athletics teacher Mrs Swarez.
At Grimsdell we have school trips. I have been to many school trips. My best school trips were Moat Mount and The Museum of London. We have a very big playground. This school is amazing, brilliant and fantastic! You must send your child/children to Grimsdell!!!

Grimsdell School
What I like about Grimsdell is having golden time on Fridays and playing with lego, shapes and drawing. Also I love playing football in the playground and making new friends. My best school trip was when whole of Year 2 went to Moat Mount and I had a great time doing activities and playing in the playground.
My favourite lesson is maths. I am the best in my class. Also in Year 2 your class might have a golden chair. I have had it 11 times. I am the first boy and I am second in all. My best hobby is football and I have rugby club. My favourite food is pizza. Every Friday we have a chocolate biscuit for snack. Also every Tuesday have swimming and once a year we have a swimming gala. Year 1 watch Year 2 swim.

Dear Parents and children
Grimsdell is a wonderful school. We have the best teachers ever. We have a really good headmistress. We have PE and music teachers. We do plays and sports day. It is very scary when you first get there but soon you will make friends. We have about two school trips in Year one and two. We do different art like we did ice cream vans. We have a science garden where we plant seeds and look at bugs. We plant strawberries, lettuce, peas and tulips. We have a playground with large apparatus. We have clubs which change every time.
So go to Grimsdell, it is the best school ever. I hope you send your child to Grimsdell.

Grimsdell is a wonderful school to send you children to. The teachers are very nice. The subjects are sometimes easy and sometimes hard. My favourite subjects are Art, Music, Maths and English. Your children will love all the subjects. At Grimsdell there are so many lovely and kind children to be friends with. Our playground has lots of different apparatus and a Astro field to play football on. If it is raining a lot outside when we are supposed to go to the playground we get to go inside and watch a movie. In year two you get to go to Mrs Bennett-Mills and watch movies and hear a story every Thursday. We do a summer play and a Christmas play every year. We have nice school lunches. The uniforms look really nice. We have school trips. We have a sports day. We have and Eco day. We have after school clubs.

Dear Parents
This school is a fantastic place for you to take your children (or child). We have a little playground and a big one. In the little playground there is a Science Garden. So the Science Garden and the playground (the little one) joined together = a bigger playground than the big playground. We also do fun activities such as: Maths, English, History, Geography, Art, Music and PE. We have school plays. They are fantastic. We have swimming. It starts at the end of Year 1 and ends at Year 2. At the end we have a swimming gala. 2010 2W won. 2011 2F won. That's as far as I know. But there is one more thing (or two). We have sports day and the school starts at nursery and ends at year 2.

This school is nice because I like doing Maths and I like having golden time. I like going to the science garden and I like seeing the fish and worms and I love doing art with Mrs Banel and Mrs Fraser. I like playing outside with my friends and I like history and I like doing PE. It's so cool and nice and I like doing music and I like going to Mrs Bennett-Mills. I like doing English. I love doing everything. Grimsdell is the best school in the world!

I like Grimsdell because they treat us very well. They give us things when we are hurt and give nice school lunch on Thursday. Golden time which is play time in class on Friday. They also teach us to do joined writing. Our old teacher, Mrs Elder, brings things. Once she brung her hawk. We get footballs but not on Thursday. We also do sports day and a school fair and wonderful school plays. Once a year we each get three days of fun before the year ends. We do computer club, football, rounders and arts club. After lunch we line up and go back outside after the footballs go away. On Friday for snack we get biscuits. We go on school trips but it is something you are lurning. We get to watch DVDs on wet play and something your lurning. We get fun activities. Please send your child to Grimsdell. It is a great school!
