Teacher of English – Full- or Part-time (Mill Hill)

A well-qualified and enthusiastic graduate is required for September 2017 to teach English to GCSE and A-level within a large, dynamic and thriving department. The post can be adapted to suit an experienced teacher, a newly qualified teacher or a new entrant to the profession via the HMC Teacher Training route. For the right candidate, the role of Second-in-Department may be available. The post can be offered full-time or at 0.8 part-time. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full part in the extra-curricular life of the School. He or she will be paid on the appropriate point of the Mill Hill School salary scale.

A well-qualified and enthusiastic graduate is required for September 2017. The role will be to teach Physics to GCSE and A level within a large, dynamic and successful department. Physics is a popular subject choice at Mill Hill, with significant numbers going on to study Physics and related subjects at university. The ability to teach to the level of Oxbridge preparation would be highly desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full part in the extra-curricular life of the School. Residential House Parent and Boarding Administrator (Mill Hill)

September 2017 start.

A new appointment at Mill Hill School for a Residential House Parent and Boarding Administrator – Competitive Salary.

The new appointment of Residential House Parent and Boarding Administrator will be the link between students, parents and the academic side of the school and will take responsibility for key administrative aspects of boarding life. This will be an invaluable role in allowing students and their families to feel safe, supported and reassured throughout their time at Mill Hill School as well as ensuring that boarding life runs efficiently and smoothly Working under the direction of the Deputy Head (Pastoral), you will have responsibility for the pastoral welfare of the young people in your Boarding House. Working closely with your pastoral care team and liaising daily with Academic Tutors, Housemasters, and the Academic Staff, your support will enable the students in your Boarding House to thrive and flourish in every area of their life at Mill Hill School. Responsibilities relating to the administrative aspects of this role will be agreed with the Deputy Head pastoral with who you will work with closely.

Having a good understanding of National Minimum Boarding Standards (NMBS) and the duty of statutory care obligations for pupils under 18 would be an advantage.

This post would suit someone who is articulate, professionally minded and caring. The school will provide on-site accommodation and pastoral training.

Clerk to the Governors (Foundation)

The Mill Hill School Foundation is seeking to appoint a permanent, experienced Clerk to the Governors from May 2017. We are an independent, charitable foundation of four schools comprising Grimsdell (3-7 years), Belmont (7 to 13 years), Mill Hill School (13 to 18 years) and The Mount Mill Hill International. We are situated in a magnificent 120-acre parkland site on the edge of the North London Green Belt, providing a wonderful environment in which to learn and work. The Foundation and all its staff are committed to providing the best possible educational experience and safeguarding the welfare of children. The Foundation is registered with the DBS and successful applicants will be required to successfully complete the Disclosure procedure at the Enhanced level in advance of starting in post.

This is an exciting, varied and challenging role in which you will be responsible for the administration of the meetings of the Court of Governors and its sub-committees.
