Head of Modern Languages (Mill Hill)

A well-qualified and enthusiastic graduate is required for September 2017 or January 2018 to lead a successful and thriving department. The ideal candidate will teach French and/or Spanish to GCSE and one of these languages to A-level, but other languages can be considered. The ability to teach French and/or Spanish for Oxbridge preparation would also be highly desirable. Modern Languages are popular at Mill Hill, with strong examination results. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full part in the extra-curricular life of the School. He or she will be paid at the appropriate point of the Mill Hill School salary scale.

Clerk to the Governors (Foundation)

The Mill Hill School Foundation is seeking to appoint a permanent, experienced Clerk to the Governors from May 2017. We are an independent, charitable foundation of four schools comprising Grimsdell (3-7 years), Belmont (7 to 13 years), Mill Hill School (13 to 18 years) and The Mount Mill Hill International. We are situated in a magnificent 120-acre parkland site on the edge of the North London Green Belt, providing a wonderful environment in which to learn and work. Assistant Head – Teaching and Learning

The Head is looking to appoint an ASSISTANT HEAD TEACHING AND LEARNING with responsibility for a class. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead teaching and learning across the school and to work within a dynamic and supportive staff team to deliver our exciting, creative and 21st century relevant curriculum. The role is based in our pre-prep school but fosters strong links to our prep school and senior school, providing further opportunity for collaboration and creativity. Early Years Teaching Assistant

The Head is looking to appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant or Nursery Nurse who is enthusiastic and skilled, to support the learning of our pupils with our effective Early Years team. Post to commence 1st September 2017, initially on a one year contract but with the possibility of this becoming permanent. Hours are 8.00a.m. to 3.30p.m.

Deputy Head Pastoral (Mill Hill)

Required for September 2017

Mill Hill School, founded in 1807, is seeking a Deputy Head Pastoral for September 2017, to play a pivotal role in the newly devised forward-looking strategy, building on the non-Conformist values and principles of its founders.

The post holder will provide direction and leadership in all aspects of the excellent pastoral provision in the school, enhancing and enriching this dimension of pupil experience.

An experienced teacher is sought, with a rich understanding of the breadth of the pastoral arena for all pupils and who can inspire and motivate staff and the wider school community.

He or she will have:

  • Proven and highly successful experience in school leadership either as an outstanding and high-flying head of department, an experienced Housemaster/Housemistress, or an existing member of s senior leadership team, possessing the flair and energy to take on another major challenge.
  • A collegiate and collaborative team-player capable when necessary of decisive management with an instinctive feel for the correct relationship between senior leadership and all staff.
  • Best practice as a confident and impressive teacher/communicator, in the classroom and beyond, who will command the interest and imagination of staff, pupils and parents, with kindness and integrity, always putting the needs of the pupils first.
